Research aim
Our research team focuses on vaccination in pregnant women who are a vulnerable population, often excluded from vaccine trials. Over the last few years, the strategy of maternal vaccination has gained a lot of interest since it can protect mothers, fetuses, and infants against vaccine-preventable diseases.
Our team has extensive expertise in conducting vaccine trials in pregnant women with a focus on immunogenicity and safety aspects. In addition, vaccine acceptance in this population is also being studied. We therefore gained specific skills regarding design, conduct, data analysis, and dissemination of results. To optimize and improve our expertise, communication and collaboration with partner institutions and public health services are maintained.
