Supporting our research

Two laboratory suites, respectively providing biosafety level (BSL)-2 and BSL-3 containment, are available for supporting the clinical trial and infectious disease research activities.

BSL-2 laboratory suite

Consists of 9 individual laboratory rooms and one cold chain room:

2 rooms for sample processing

1 room for buffer preparations

1 room for drug/vaccine reconstitution

1 room for PBMC isolation

1 room for cell culture

1 room for pre-polymerase chain reaction (PCR)

1 room for post-PCR

1 room for cleaning and disinfection

BSL-3 laboratory suite

3 individual laboratory rooms:

1 room for specimen processing

1 room for viral Quality Control (QC)

1 room bacterial QC

And a cold chain storage room dedicated to the storage of:

challenge agents & strains (biorepository)

clinical trial specimen
