Manuela Bastanie

Manuela Bastanie obtained her bachelor’s degree as a nurse (1989) and midwife in 1990. After her studies in Tropical Medicine she worked in different African countries where an important part of her job was vaccinating children and pregnant women. She worked for 28 years as a nurse, adjunct nurse, and head nurse in the Neonatal intensive care unit at the University Hospital of Antwerp, where was frequently collaborated on all types of studies.

In May 2023 she started as head nurse at Vaccinopolis where she supports the ambulant study nursing team and will help start-up and organize the challenge unit on a nursing level.
