Geneviève Vandercruyssen
Geneviève Vandercruyssen obtained her professional bachelor’s degree as a Medical Laboratory Technologist in 2004 followed by a professional bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry in 2006, both from the Plantijn Hogeschool Antwerpen. Subsequently, she worked for the Centrum voor Medische Genetica of Antwerp (UZA) and for companies as Tibotec NV and Galapagos NV involved in the lab regarding protein expression and cellular in vitro assays for discovery of new molecules targeting Hepatitis C and arthritis respectively. As from 2012, Geneviève gained experience as Biobank Coordinator at Biocartis NV managing the collection, selection and storage of all human biospecimen involved during the development of real-time PCR based molecular tests involved in cancer or infectious diseases.
Very experienced after working in different lab-environments, in 2024, she joined Vaccinopolis as Head of the Laboratory where she manages the laboratory team and organizes the laboratories to operate according to all safety and standard operating procedures.
